Participants learn the basic concepts to effectively manage projects using project management methodologies and techniques. The course is designed to help you understand project management methods and how they are used to effectively manage projects in a multi-project environment. It will focus on the process of effectively defining the work breakdown structure, building project network diagrams, and how to convert the project networks into executable project schedules. In addition, the participants will learn how to effectively manage projects so that the project cycle times will be reduced, and more projects will finish on time, within budget, and with full scope.

About the Presenter: Max Krug
Max Krug, Change Management Specialist, Future State Engineering. Max provides operational excellence services expertise to organizations with the primary objective of improving financial and operational performance. Max has 30 years of experience in operations, and his range of expertise and experience includes manufacturing operations, distribution, and project management environments. His expertise is assisting organizations achieve Operational Excellence by utilizing Theory of Constraints, Lean Management, and Six Sigma methods. He works with companies to develop corporate strategy and provides hands-on implementation support of the tactics required to achieve Operational Excellence utilizing these techniques. Max holds several certifications in Theory of Constraints, Lean, and Six Sigma in addition to a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Alfred University and a MBA from St. Bonaventure University.

About the Presenter: Tina Swanson-Swauger
Tina Swanson-Swauger, training specialist, is an accomplished manufacturing leader with a proven track record of success spanning over three decades. She is adept at driving operational efficiency, implementing lean methodologies, and fostering continuous improvement. Tina is skilled in production control, planning and scheduling, shop floor supervision, and inventory management. Additionally, she is experienced in managing diverse teams and leading cross-functional initiatives. Tina is certified as an AS9100D Lead Auditor and an IATF-16949 Lead Auditor and is currently pursuing PMI CAPM certification. Tina has worked in various businesses in the Jamestown, NY area, being promoted from an administrative assistant to Industrial Engineering Manager at a furniture manufacturer, then as a Production Control Manager and Project Manager in the steel fabrication arena and currently as an IT Project Manager at an internationally known engine manufacturing and assembly plant. Tina holds a BA in Secondary Education from Houghton University and holds multiple certifications for Operational Excellence, Software Testing, Core DevOps skills, Agile Methodology, Business Analysis, Change Management, and Six Sigma – Yellow Belt.
