CEC OFFERING SUMMER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
The Community Education Center (CEC) will be offering a Professional Development Workshop: The Other Side of the Table: 12 Strategies to Build Honest and Open Collaboration Between Professionals and the Families They Serve. The Other Side of the Table offers educators, administrators, directors, and agency staff the tools for communicating with struggling families in times of crisis and despair. Redefine your communication with these 12 strategies to build honest and open collaboration.
Instructor: Anne L. Herzing, M. Ed, Author of The Other Side of the Table, retired educator with 43 years of experience in private and public education, has had firsthand experience promoting the needs of struggling families while working closely with agencies that support the needs of children in crisis. She has presented at the National CASE (Council of Administrators of Special Education) Conference.
Workshop will run July 9,10,11,16 and 17 from 8:00-10:00 AM at the Community Education Center (4 Erie Avenue, St. Marys). Cost is $25 and each participant will receive a FREE copy of the book “The Other Side of the Table” and a personal copy of the workbook that accompanies the text. 10 Act 48 credits are available.
