Join us for a comprehensive one-day course designed for beginners or self-taught users eager to enhance their Microsoft Excel skills. As the first course in the Excel Application Specialist certification series, Excel Level I will equip you with essential Excel skills and introduce more advanced features to help you work more efficiently and effectively. By the end of the course, participants will have the tools needed to create, manage, and navigate spreadsheets confidently, boosting productivity and ensuring that you make the most out of Excel’s powerful functionalities.

What You’ll Learn:

Getting Started with Excel: Navigation and Selection

Understand the layout of the Excel interface.

Learn to navigate through cells, rows, columns, and worksheets.

Master selection techniques to highlight individual cells, ranges, and entire rows/columns.

Using AutoFill to Save Time

Discover how to quickly extend data patterns like numbers, dates, and simple formulas across rows and columns using Excel’s AutoFill feature, streamlining your workflow.

Printing From Excel

Learn how to set up print areas, adjust page layouts, and preview your spreadsheet to ensure it prints correctly and looks professional.

Intro to Formulas: Proper Formula Layout, Common Formulas, Using AutoFill

Get hands-on experience creating simple formulas and applying basic operations (addition, subtraction, etc.) across multiple cells using AutoFill.

Intro to Functions: SUM, COUNT, AVERAGE, MAX, MIN

Master essential Excel functions including SUM, COUNT, AVERAGE, MAX, and MIN to perform quick calculations and analyze data efficiently.

Formatting Worksheets for Readability

Learn how to format cells, rows, and columns to improve the appearance of your spreadsheets. This includes adjusting text alignment, font styles, number formatting, and adding borders and shading for better presentation.

Managing Large Workbooks: Organizing Worksheets and View Settings

Discover strategies for managing large workbooks by organizing multiple worksheets and using different view options (Page Layout and Normal views). Navigate large datasets with ease.
